Benjamin Wilson honed his craft working alongside Tyler Brûlé at Monocle magazine, where he played a pivotal role in shaping branded content across print, digital, and audio platforms. For many years, he was Monocle’s resident film critic, bringing cinematic insights to the magazine’s global audience and establishing a reputation for thoughtful commentary on artistic cinema.
Today, Benjamin is the founder and creative director of Wondercast Studio, a media production agency catering to premium brands and key opinion leaders.
As a journalist, Benjamin has interviewed some of the most respected figures in film, theatre, and television.

Benjamin Wilson’s portfolio spans strategic newsletters, original print content, and advertising campaigns for standout names including Mortimer House, 1 Warwick, and Here East. His marketing expertise has been sought by global leaders such as UBS, Rolex, Breitling, Tiffany & Co., the United Nations, and Zurich Tourism. He has also contributed to major cultural fixtures including Salone del Mobile in Milan, Maison et Objet in Paris, and Pitti Uomo in Florence.
His editorial work appears in Monocle’s travel guides to New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and he served as culture editor for the Melbourne edition — all published by Gestalten. He is currently editor-in-chief of Maslow’s Newspaper, the in-house print publication for a network of acclaimed members’ houses.
Benjamin has created, produced, and presented thousands of hours of audio content for some of the world’s leading luxury brands. From 2014 to 2020, he was a regular host of Monocle’s flagship morning news programme The Globalist, broadcast live worldwide. He also developed and launched Asia PAC Unwrapped, a weekly business podcast for ANZ Bank; Monocle on Sunday, a travelogue series for Monocle and Zurich Tourism; and The Cinema Show, a podcast for film streaming platform Mubi — among many others.
A seasoned journalist and former TV news editor, Benjamin has led newsrooms and delivered live broadcasts. He regularly attends major global events including the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice Biennale, and fashion weeks in London, Paris, Melbourne, and New York.
